Don't you just love Utah in the Fall?

It's that time of year again.  The leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler, the days shorter, and the nights longer.  This is my favorite time of year, it always has been, but this year it is even more so because two years ago I went on my first date with Kyle and almost one year ago we got married!!  I feel like we just got married!!
So many things have happened in the past year it doesn't even seem real!  In my last post I talked about our plan to move.  We made it down to Sandy in June and started our new lives in the big city.  Kyle got a job at UltraDent, a dental supply company only a quarter of a mile away from our house and I got a job at a dental office just right around the corner from our house.  We are a half a mile from a mall, the movie theaters and sooo many other things.  It just so happens that we also live about 10mins from Kyle's family and about 20 from my sister (who by the way just moved from California to Lehi, UT a couple of months ago!)  At times I really miss being up in Brigham City, a lot, but I know this is where we need to be right now.  Kyle has been taking classes and moving forward with his degree, with any luck he will be done in about 2 1/2 years!  I am super excited about him being able to be done and in a field that he really enjoys.

Something else that's new is DAPHNE!! She is our new puppy!  We have been looking at getting a dog for as long as we have been together!!  Every day I would look on KSL and try to find a dog, even tho when we were in Brigham we couldn't have a puppy there, we knew eventually we would get one.  When we got to our new apt, we made sure it was pet friendly.  I found Daphne after we had been in the apt for about a month.  She is beautiful and smart.  Daphne has tested our patience on several occasions and at many times we feel like we are losing the pottty training battle, but we are still chugging along and loving life with her in our family!

And we're off!

FAMILY
So I can't believe June is almost over.  Kyle and I returned from visiting San Francisco a couple of weeks ago.  It was so much fun!  We went to Six Flags, the Pier, Muir Woods, Farmers Market, and watched my brother in law graduate from Dental school!
Kyle and Cale
Unsure about what is going on here....
Precious...

We loved being able to be with all the family and spending time with everyone.
Last time I wrote I talked about my new job I was starting and our school transfer.  We are still transferring schools and are excited for the upcoming semester.  We are both going to school so it should be a good time :)
My job at my new dental office did not pan out.  Long story short  I ended up quiting, which I have never done because I hated a job, so it was kind of a big decision for me, but I knew I wasn't going to be happy there.Once I quit I feel like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.  I knew I had made the right choice.  Heavenly Father blessed us by giving me a chance to work a little while longer up in Brigham City (the doctors hadn't hired anyone yet so I came back for a week to fill in).
During this time I was able to interview at a few different jobs and Kyle was able to interview as well.  I found a job that I feel good about and what makes it even better it is literally like 1/2 a mile from our new apt.  I am excited and nervous but I am praying that it will work out this time.  Kyle also is debating on whether to take a job at a company.  It is a lot of hours and he can move up in the company, he hasn't accepted it yet so we will see what happens.  Everything seems to be happening all at once, but we are excited.  This weekend will be a crazy time but it will all work out.  Life is good and we feel extremely blessed.

So long, farewell....

So we have made a decision, can you believe it?  Anyways, Kyle and I have decided to move to the SLC area so we both can continue on with our schooling.  We had bounced the idea around, but hadn't made any final decisions and then Kyle got the email.  Apparently his Computer Science degree is being combined with two other degrees, and so he wouldn't be getting the specific degree he was anticipating.  We decided and the next day I told my boss we would be leaving during the summer.  It was hard because I love working with the people I do, but change is inevitable and I know it is the right thing for us to do.
In other news we just celebrated our 6 month anniversary!!  I can't believe it has been 6 months since that amazing day!  We have had so much fun and have loved being able to be together so much.  I have been spoiled by having Kyle at home with me.  He has been an amazing husband and I fall in love with him more and more every day.  I am so grateful to have such a wonderful man that goes above and beyond to treat me like a princess.  He is perfect for me and I can't imagine spending eternity with anyone better!
As a side note only 26 days until CALIFORNIA!!!

Domesticality and Orange Poppy Decor

So my older sister Sandi made this AWESOME quilt for a family tradition they started.   Each year on a family members birthday, they get to sleep with this quilt.  It is classy and beautiful.  So naturally I wanted to copy the idea.  I knew I wouldn't have the patience to complete a quilt like her so I decided to make my own design, a much more simple version.  I kinda made it up.  I had a lot of fun with it, not saying I would jump up and do it again right away but it was fun and I am getting over my hate relationship with the sewing machine my mother gave me for Christmas.
I also learned how to make a pinapple upside down cake from scratch.  For some reason I was craving one while I was making dinner.  I found a recipe in one of my many recipe books and it was super easy!  I didn't even know if Kyle liked pineapple upside down cake, but hey what I want I get hahaha ; ).
Kyle has been enjying school this semester.  He has been a lot closer to home and that has been such a blessing.  He was able to have his classes at the Brigham City USU campus.  It has been so nice to have him around a little more.  He works so hard at work and a school.  Currently he works for Direct TV in the CS dept.   Not his favorite job, but he is pretty good at it and he has been the top in sales for his team for the last two months.  Kyle's birthday is this week and I am soooo excited!  I have some great things planned (he doesn't read the blog so I think I am safe in saying that).OH and I almost forgot!  Kyle's Peach Cobbler Delight is in the finals for the SubZero new flavor contest!!  A while back I introduced Kyle to Subzero, and he was hooked!  Every time we go down to South Jordan we stop by.  After going to it for a few times Kyle created his Peach Cobbler Delight flavor, which consists of Peaches, graham cracker crumbs, cake batter, & cinnamon, plus the premium ice cream.  It is super good.  It is sooo good that they put it on their wall in South Jordan.  About 1 1/2 months ago they announced their new flavor contest.  Kyle of course entered it and was in the top ten finalists!!  So on April 30th we are going down to the Provo Towne Center to get people to come taste and vote for Kyle's creation!!!  We are SUPER excited! Could ya tell?
Right now we are very much in to the series BONES.  We love it.  We started watching it on Netflix from season one and are currently on season three.  We watch it every chance we get.  It has been fun, but yesterday we were watching it and one of the main characters was written out basically.  It was sooo sad, because he was one of our favorites.  I thought Kyle was going to cry, I know I wanted to. haha.  Before we were addicted to Bones we worked on beating Mario on the Wii.  We have had fun together during these winter months being stuck in the house for the most part.  We have gone snow boarding a few times, love it (even tho I am terrible).  I love that we have things that we love to do together.
Our next adventure we are starting together will be a business!  It is a business I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember.  We will be doing events such as weddings and large parties. To start out we will be renting linens, chair coverings, and the main thing is draping.  When we got married I hated the look of a cultural hall reception and I was frustrated with the costs of making it look nice.  As members of the church the focus is on the temple and covenants made there, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun and have a beautiful reception at a reasonable cost.  We are in the begining stages of planning but are hopping to have it up and running by the fall.  I will post more as we move further along!!

Life thus far...

Well this week will mark the our 3 month anniversary!  I can't believe how quickly it's gone by!  We have had tons of fun over the past few months and have been adjusting pretty well to married life :).  Kyle was lucky enough to be able to do all his classes from the Brigham City campus this semester.  That has helped us save big time on gas.  We have seen so many blessings in these few short months together.  We were called to teach the five year old primary class, and we absolutely love our kids!  They are so fun, and each week they say things that crack us up!  It is amazing the depth they have at a young age.  We truly feel blessed to be able to teach these children!  Blessings have been pouring in, especially in regards to tithing.  Kyle and I made a commitment to make sure our tithing was top priority each month.  Each time we have done that remarkable things have happened, whether it being given more hours at work, or receiving grants for school we cannot help but feel as though the Lord's hand is in everything!
Kyle and I are looking forward to spring and summer.  Kyle's mom just started up her new company Releve, and will be doing dance competitions this spring.  One is in AZ so I am completely stoked for that one, but Kyle unfortunately cannot come for that.  We also have the St. George competition which is always a blast!  Kyle's mom has worked soooo hard over this past year and we are so excited to be a part of her new company.  We have also made plans to go visit my sister Sandi in San Francisco!  Her husband PJ is graduating from dental school and we are taking a road trip out there.  We cannot wait to see them and hang out with Cale and Brooke (Sandi's ADORABLE kids).  We may even get to sneak a trip in to Six Flags while we are there!!!  Life is wonderful and we are so grateful for the people in our lives that make it even that much more amazing!!!
